The history of migration consultancies in Colombia began with Oscar Amaya, who has worked in the travel and documentation sector since the 1960s. After years of experience in a leading company, he realized the need to help foreigners with the complicated legalization processes in the country. With the support of the President of the company, he created a department specialized in the documentation of foreigners within the company. After 25 years of work, Oscar decided to start his own consulting company, ASECOL LTDA, a pioneer in its field. He shared his knowledge with lawyers and individuals, leaving an invaluable legacy. His son, Oscar Stewill Amaya, joined the business and proposed to create a company dedicated exclusively to immigration advice, giving a more professional and personalized approach. This is how MIGRACOL COLOMBIA S.A.S. was born, acquired entirely by Oscar Stewill Amaya in 2014, who now serves as General Manager and sole shareholder. This path reflects a history of success and commitment to helping foreigners navigate the complex migration processes in Colombia.
